The Glebe Administration Board (GAB) performs a number of important financial management functions on behalf of the Diocese.
It does so principally as trustee of a capital fund known as the Diocesan Endowment (DE). GAB invests the capital from this fund in a diversified portfolio of investments and makes distributions each year for allocation by the Synod.
The GAB also acts as trustee of the Diocesan Cash Investment Fund (DCIF). The DCIF is a higher-yielding alternative to standard low-return transactional accounts for organisations within the Diocese with cash to invest.

Constitution and Current Membership
The GAB is a body corporate incorporated under the Anglican Church of Australia (Bodies Corporate) Act 1938 and constituted under the Glebe Administration Board Ordinance 1930.
The Diocesan Endowment is constituted by the Diocesan Endowment Trust Ordinance 2016 and mainly comprises capital derived originally from the sales of the St Philip’s Glebe, the St James’ Glebe, the St Mark’s Glebe and the St John’s Glebe. (A glebe is the parcel of land surrounding a parish church.)
The Diocesan Cash Investment Fund is constituted by the Diocesan Cash Investment Fund Ordinance 2016.
The Board consists of between eight and ten members elected by the Standing Committee of Synod, of which two must be clergy licensed in the Diocese of Sydney.
