The Vestry meeting is over; you have just been elected to Parish Council or have been appointed Treasurer.

The Sydney Diocesan Secretariat (SDS) is holding a Church Administration Conference to answer these questions and provide you with practical guidance and resources.

When: Saturday 16 June 2007
Where: Wesley Conference Centre, 220 Pitt Street Sydney
Time: 9:00 am until 3:45 pm
How much: No charge
(Morning tea and lunch provided)

It will be a great opportunity for you and your parish council to gain a greater understanding of your roles in the life of your parish. We also encourage you to bring along your rector or other interested ministry staff, and anyone else in your parish who may be considering becoming a churchwarden or parish councillor in the future.

The conference sessions will cover the following subjects -

  • Roles & responsibilities of churchwardens & parish councillors
  • Parish accounting and financial controls
  • Ministry staff remuneration

In addition, Module 2 of the Parish Risk Management Program will be released.

Throughout the day there will be information booths present showcasing various other services to parishes.
