St Philip's Sydney York Street Property Leasing Ordinance 1966 Amending Ordinance 2003

Long Title

An Ordinance to amend the St Philip’s Sydney York Street Property Leasing Ordinance 1966 to provide for the application of income from the lease authorised by that Ordinance for the period of 4 years and 9 months from 1 April 2003.

Preamble

A. The St Philip’s Sydney York Street Property Leasing Ordinance 1966 (the "Principal Ordinance") provides for Anglican Church Property Trust Diocese of Sydney to lease certain land and to apply the income in a certain manner.

B. By clause 14(f) of the Principal Ordinance, during the first 3 months of the calendar year of 2003 the Standing Committee, after consulting with the churchwardens of the parish of St Philip’s, Sydney must determine by ordinance the allocation and distribution of the lease income for the period of 4 years and 9 months from 1 April 2003.

The Standing Committee of the Synod of the Diocese of Sydney Ordains as follows.

1. Name

This Ordinance is the St Philip’s Sydney York Street Property Leasing Ordinance 1966 Amending Ordinance 2003.

2. Amendment of Principal Ordinance

The Principal Ordinance is amended as follows -

(a) by deleting "first 3 months of the calendar year of 2003" from clause 14(f) and inserting "calendar year of 2007" in its place; and

(b) by deleting "3 month period for the succeeding 4 years and 9 months" from clause 14(f) and inserting "year for the succeeding 5 years" in its place; and

(c) by deleting "15 years and 3 months" from the first line of clause 14(i) and inserting "20 years" in its place.

3. Commencement

This ordinance commences on 1 April 2003.
